The talk gives a broad overview about the Hopf-algebraic renormalization
of Gauge Theories. First, some basic facts about Hopf algebras and
perturbative Quantum Field Theory are recalled. Then, the Hopf algebra of
Feynman graphs is defined for Quantum Electrodynamics and Quantum
Chromodynamics, which respectively is an abelian and a non-abelian Gauge
Theory. Finally, we show how the physical symmetries of these models
translate into the Hopf-algebraic setting.
